Spring Fling Mixer Tournament

The Tournament Committee will be hosting a Spring Fling Mixer on Saturday, April 11. Take a look at the format and details for registering for this event. 


THREE DIVISIONS

  • Intermediate (3.0 - 3.24)
  • Intermediate Plus (3.25 - 3.49)
  • Advanced (3.5 & above)

 

RANDOM PARTNER ROTATION

  • Every Player registers as a Single participant.
  • Each registered Player will be randomly assigned a different partner of the opposite gender after each game on a rotating basis.  All players will have an opportunity to play with different partners and compete against different combinations of opponents within their assigned Division.

REGISTRATION SPACE IS LIMITED

      • The tournament will be capped following the first 48 completed registrations per Division (24 Women) and (24 Men).
      • Once all 48 spots are full for both, all additional registrations will be added to a waitlist for that Division.
      • You will be notified if you move up from the waitlist and are added as a participant.
      • Each Division must have an equal number of Women and Men registered players. If 24 Women register and only 16 Men, the Division will be capped to the first 16 registrations per gender. 
      • The minimum registration number per Division is 16 players (8 Women and 8 Men). 
    TOURNAMENT PLAY FORMAT
    • Round-Robin rotating partners. Total number of games will be determined by the number of players (Women & Men) that register in each Division. The probable number of games played in each Division will be 5 or 6 during Pool Play, followed by a Semi-Final and/or Championship game.
    • All players will be ranked individually within their respective Divisions and genders (Women/Men) with the following criteria: Win/Loss record, Total Points Scored, and Point Differential (total points scored and point differential will be used as ranking tie-breakers only if necessary).
    • The Top-2 ranked Women players and Top-2 ranked Men players in each Division will advance to play a Championship Game.
    • Awards will be presented to both the Champions (1st Place) and Finalist Teams (2nd Place).

    REGISTRATION DEADLINES

    • Tournament participation is available to TVR Pickleball Club members only; you must be an active member of the Club. 
    • Registration opens March 16 and ends at midnight on March 26.
    • Registration Fee is $10 per player. Note that our Club policy is no refunds if you cancel your registration. 
    • Substitute players are always needed as we get closer to the tournament date.  If you are willing to be a Sub, please contact the Tournament Director. 

    ADDITIONAL NOTE

    Tournament Director has the right to cancel a Division, and/or move registered players into a different Division if not enough players register in a specific Division.
